We try to offer a Service Leader training each year for new, interested, and continuing VIUU Service Leaders, and our next two-part training will be led by Rev. Florence Caplow and is coming up on Wednesday, October 7, 6:30-7:30 pm on Zoom, and Saturday, October 10, 2:00-3:15 pm at Lewis Hall.

We hope that all who are current Service Leaders or those who have some interest in stepping into this role, will be able to attend both halves of the training, but if you can only come to one of the sessions, we would still love to have you there. Please RSVP here. All are welcome.

Stay tuned for a Service Coordinator Training, coming up later.

* Service Leaders are members of the congregation who stand up on Sunday morning and are the “glue” of the Sunday service, supporting a visiting speaker or a speaker(s) from the congregation by opening the service, introducing the speaker, leading the offering and Joys and Concerns, and other responsibilities. Service Leaders have a script to use and are not responsible for designing or planning the service.
