Tuesday, March 5th at 6pm – Vashon Theatre

Several Island organizations are co-sponsoring a film screening of “The Healing Heart of Lushootseed,” a documentary that tells the extraordinary story of how a diminutive great-grandmother, the late Vi Hilbert, tenaciously gathered support from unlikely corners for her most ambitious project: to heal the heart of the world.

The screening will happen Tuesday, March 5 at 6pm at Vashon Theatre. Admission is free, with donations to Lushootseed Research accepted at the door. A discussion with the filmmaker, Jill La Pointe – granddaughter of the late Vi Hilbert – will follow the film screening.
