TRANSITIONS: Finding Meaning and Spirit in Aging

What does meaning look like as we age? How does what matters to us change, and how does it remain the same? What is the spirit, the life-force that keeps us active and dynamic, that sustains and renews us? How do we approach and meld into the last transition? What’s to come? What’s left?

You are invited to join UUs in South Puget Sound as part of a small group that will focus on these questions we face as we age. There is no expectation of answers, just a shared discussion.

Each of us approaches aging as individual beings and may feel alone; yet we share the condition with everyone – our peers, those who came before us and those yet to come. In this way, we are profoundly connected.

Transitions will meet monthly December through June, on the third Thursday, 1-2:30 pm, beginning December 21. The initial December meeting will be on Zoom.

Other meetings will be held on Zoom or in person, at an agreed-upon location.

This Transitions session will be led by the Rev. Carol McKinley. Rev. Carol is an affiliated Community Minister with the Olympia UU Congregation and a regular guest speaker at Kitsap UU Fellowship, where she works closely with our minister Rev. Victoria Poling.

The cost is $20 per meeting per person. Limited to 10 participants. For more information or to register, contact Rev. McKinley at 360 451-2850,
